In this lesson
Measure lines to the nearest millimetre and angles to the nearest degree, draw a circle with compasses, and construct a triangle or other 2D shape from a mix of sides and angles using a ruler, protractor and compasses together.
What it covers
- Measuring a line to the nearest millimetre with a ruler
- Measuring an angle to the nearest degree with a protractor, including choosing the correct one of its two printed scales
- Drawing a circle of a given radius with compasses
- Constructing a triangle or other 2D shape given a mix of side lengths and angles (e.g. two sides and the included angle), using ruler, protractor AND compasses together
- Leaving construction arcs visible as method evidence, exactly as in the compass-only constructions
