On one exam board alone, well over half of everyone sitting the paper has studied An Inspector Calls. That's a crowd who all know the same story. The marks go to whoever does the most with it. So here's where those marks are, and the video to open first.
If the play is new to you, the overview comes first: the evening in order, and the quotes worth learning. Don't stop at the story, though. Examiners on more than one board say the weakest answers simply retell it. If you know the plot already, start with Eric, the one nobody was watching. Then Gerald, the outsider who stays outside. Examiners on three boards report students mixing those two up. Next comes the Inspector, and how he takes the room apart. For the big ideas, begin with responsibility, the theme the whole play is built to prove. With the exam close, go to the video on your own paper. Most boards print a passage from the play and one gives you the question alone, and each one pays for different things. Then watch one question go from start to finish, from the plan to the finished answer. Wherever you start, save time for Eva Smith. She never once appears on stage, and examiners notice when an answer writes about her as if she did. You can search for any video by its name or its code, and the codes are on the list. The quickest way is the scholafly.com website, which lists every video in every subject.
Next in the chapter is An Inspector Calls: An overview. Hopefully that's next in your feed - but if not, search for ScholaFly E L oh one, oh one.
